Inventory Clerk

Position Summary

Performs routine transactions and duties in the Stockroom, and prepares and maintains records of quantities and part numbers (both product and non-product items), by performing the following duties; other duties may be assigned.


Key Position Responsibilities

Stocks incoming product and non-product items.

• Retrieves items from inventory based on move ticket requests, and verifies for accuracy.

• Retrieves product and non-product items from Stockroom shelves utilizing a ladder and/or    scissor lift.

• Issues product and non-product items to other departments in accordance with pick tickets.

• Performs physical counts of product and non-product items in the Stockroom, and maintains
   AS/400 records of same.

• Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and informs leadperson or    supervisor if there are any errors in computation or count; investigates and reports reasons    for discrepancies.

• Keeps stockroom neat, clean, and orderly.

Education and Experience

Required

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months minimum related stockroom experience and/or training or a minimum of thirty college credits (one year) required.

Preferred

Twelve months plus stockroom experience with electronic components and non-product items, AS/400 experience, and experience with ISO9001:2008 are all preferred.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the member is regularly required to stand. The member is frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb portable stairs; and talk or hear. The member is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel or crouch. The member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and rarely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
